On April 20, 2023, I had the pleasure of being sworn in as Rockdale County's Post 3 Member of the Board of Education. It has been my true honor and privilege to serve the citizens and students of Rockdale County for the past year. On March 7th, I qualified to keep this seat, and I humbly ask for your vote on May 21st.
I'm a Rockdale County native and 2002 graduate of Rockdale County High School. My wife has taught in Rockdale County for ten years. I have two children who attend Rockdale County Public Schools. I am deeply invested in our school system to ensure that our teachers are supported and that our students have every opportunity to succeed.
In my first year on the Board, I fought to keep teachers in classrooms in opposition to a reduction in force policy. I fought against a budget that diverted money from classrooms to a bloated county office. I've fought for transparency in how our tax dollars are spent and for accountability of the current administration. Most importantly, I've fought for the success of our students.
Our students deserve nothing less.
If you want to fight for our schools, if you want a resounding voice for our students and teachers, if you want to ensure that our tax dollars are spent appropriately, then I humbly ask for your vote.
Justin doesn't give in or give up; he believes in fighting for what is right.
Though Justin is aware of numbers and expectations, he sees the people before him and advocates for them.
Justin has an eye for detail earning multiple awards and recognitions throughout his educational and legal careers.
Using a firm resolve and his impressive experience, Justin Kenney is not only willing but also able to face any challenge and take it head-on.
Justin Kenney's experience gives him a unique perspective. He has worked in the Rockdale County legal arena since 2009. Before founding the firm that carries his name (The Kenney Law Firm) in 2022, he worked as the Managing Partner of a respected law firm for over ten years as a 3-year Associate Attorney, Law Clerk, and Research Assistant. Through this experience, Justin learned firsthand that successful programs are made of many layers, and he also developed a personal (and in-depth) understanding of the need for cohesive and healthy departments within any organization.
Kenney is committed to serving in excellence. He draws from his education, professional training, and experience to serve well in whatever arena he is engaged. Unafraid of digging deeper Justin Kenney is committed to finding answers. He is willing to conduct research, engage data, and communicate extensively.
Justin Kenney isn't one to shy away from the hard or uncomfortable things; he is invested, engaged, and often the first one willing to dive into the deep end in order to find answers and solve problems.
